On arrival at Auckland airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your city hotel.

Auckland, New Zealand's largest city is situated between two enormous harbours and dotted with 48 extinct volcanic cones. Known as the 'City of Sails', Auckland is New Zealand's largest city offering an array of cosmopolitan experiences.
Rest and relax after your flight or perhaps do one of the following:
  • Sky Jump on the Sky tower only 192 Metre fall Jumpstart your Kiwi adventure by leaping from the Sky Tower – the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere! Fall at approx 75kph for around 16 seconds before slowing in the last few metres to land gently
  • Sailing on an America's Cup boat. The America's Cup is the world's oldest and most prestigious sailing trophy and ultimate yachting regatta. You the passenger become the crew and are encouraged to take the helm, exert energy on the grinders or simply sit back and enjoy.

Today you travel down to Rotorua (meaning two lakes). Built around geothermal activity, the city has - erupting geysers, through to rocks with steam coming out of fissures, and boiling mud pools, the area is alive with volcanic activity. Rotorua is rich in Maori culture. It also has some of New Zealand's best adventure activities.

For today's activity you have a choice of one of the following
  • White Water Rafting – This grade 4/5 river has the world's highest commercially rafted waterfall (6/7metres); it is a white water enthusiast's dream come true. Flowing through an extremely steep and narrow canyon, in 50 minutes you will paddle 14 rapids including two waterfalls
  • Tandem Sky Dive - It takes a certain kind of person to jump from an aircraft at 15000ft into thin air. It takes courage. Harnessed by space age materials to an experienced qualified Jumpmaster, you step out that aircraft door and for some 60 seconds you plummet towards the ground at 200KPH, Terminal Velocity. The Jumpmaster will deploy the reinforced tandem canopy controlling your entire skydive.
Evening spent at Rotorua's most celebrated Maori Village. Includes transport to and from as well as cultural entertainment and traditional Hangi (Maori way of cooking under hot stones buried in the ground)

Today is your chance to do something different. Experience one of the world's most interesting volcanoes. White Island is situated about 48 Kilometres off the Bay of plenty coastline. The island's history is related in an informative way, with scientific information explained in an easy-to-understand manner.

As an active Volcano, White Island is closely monitored by New Zealand scientists. All precautions are taken prior to stepping foot on the Island, but nevertheless being a volcano the Island is not without its hazards.

Note Safety gear is provided, including hardhats and gas masks. This activity is subject to both favourable weather and the conditions on the Island.

Tongariro National Park. You will have been given options as to the type of hikes that you can do the day prior. So today with your (Department of Conservation approved) guide and head out on your option of choice. Classified as a World Heritage Park and is New Zealand's oldest national park. This status recognises the parks importance, both from a Maori cultural and spiritual aspect as well as its outstanding volcanic features.

Wellington – Picton – Abel Tasman National Park

You have the option of either flying to Picton and landing as normal or flying to Picton but instead of just landing, tandem skydive into Picton.

Prepare to check out and take a short Helicopter ride into the Abel Tasman National Park and you're accommodation.

Prepare to leave the beauty of the park behind and travel to New Zealand's northland. Transfer to Helicopter to Nelson and board your jet for your direct flight.

For today's activity you have a choice of one of the following
  • Swimming with Dolphins – You get to the dolphins fast in our water-jet powered catamaran. It's the best vessel in the Bay for dolphin viewing with large deck areas and plenty of room to move around. It's not just dolphins we'll show you - at times you'll see orcas, whales, seals, penguins and other wildlife
  • Sailing in the bay- Sail around the many islands that make up the bay of islands. Stop for lunch at one of the many deserted beaches for a barbeque.

Cape Reinga Fly/Drive tour departs 1:00pm

Fly north travelling over some fantastic scenery including the famous Ninety Mile Beach stopping at an airfield only 20 Km's by road from Cape Reinga.

The first stop on the vehicle tour is the Cape Reinga lighthouse with its spectacular views of the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean merge together. Your next stop is at a beautiful bay for afternoon tea and a quick swim if desired. The last stop on the vehicle tour is the Te Paki quicksand stream with its mighty sand dunes and time try a bit of "Sand Surfing" for the more adventurous travellers. The return flight follows the East coast of Northland taking in more spectacular scenery. Flights are approximately 1 hour in each direction.

Today travel leisurely from Paihia to the southern fringe of the Waipoua state forest, stopping on the way at Kaikohe. In the afternoon skilled guides will introduce you to the Waipoua Forest and share their knowledge and understanding through Maori stories, botanical information, and European settler history. Here you will find New Zealand's largest kauri forest sanctuary; home to 'Tane Mahuta', New Zealand's largest kauri tree, and the crystal clear Kai Iwi Lakes.

After Diner you are invited to visit the nearby Trounson Kauri Park is a smaller pocket of mature native forest with a good walking track. This is one of only two ‘mainland islands' in New Zealand where predators can be controlled. There is a proliferation of bird life and vegetation with the re-introduction of some previously absent species including the Kiwi. We can arrange a night walk to see the beauty of the nocturnal species that inhabit this bush, including searching for kiwi.
