New Zealand is a country of spectacular and varied scenery: glacial mountains, fast-flowing rivers, deep clear lakes, golden beaches, geysers, boiling mud pools and World Heritage status forests.

With a population of only four million and a land mass size equal to the United Kingdom, it's not surprising that visitors can travel for long periods of time without seeing another person.

All of New Zealand diverse physical, cultural, and artistic landscapes are within easy reach of each other. You can fly from Auckland in the North Island to Queenstown in the South Island (New Zealand adventure capital and gateway to Fiordland) in under two hours!

New Zealand is a melting pot of cultures with a population made up of 10% Maori (native New Zealanders) and 75% New Zealand Europeans (Pakeha), with the remaining 15% a mixture of Asians, Pacific Islanders and Europeans. People have always been attracted to New Zealand for its friendliness and the relaxed attitude of its people.

Because of its location, isolated from outside influences, New Zealand's Forna and Flora are for the most part unique, for instance over 80% of its flowers (flora) cannot be found anywhere else. From dolphins and whales mostly along the east coast to flightless birds New Zealand has something very different to offer.

For the active, New Zealand offers a variety of activities, from extreme sports like bungy jumping to whiter water rafting, bush walks and tramping in the alpine regions or just walking on an active volcano. New Zealand offers something for everyone.
